• Dial-A-Ride
  DIAL-A-RIDE provides transportation in specially-equipped vans for elderly persons (60 years of age or older) and persons with disabilities who are not able to access public transportation. The purpose is to provide rides to individuals who have difficulty using public transportation. The DIAL-A-RIDE contractor is DATTCO.
  
  Call your town for info about your local dial-a-ride program and to inquire about an application. The vast majority of Connecticut towns operate dial-a-ride programs. Calls can be made to DATTCO at 860-404-0712 Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The lines are frequently busy during the early morning, but calls made in the afternoon go through almost immediately.

• Easy Street
  Easy Street® is a statewide commuter van service sponsored by The Connecticut Department of Transportation and operated by The Rideshare Company. Designed to help people who live or work in Connecticut get to their jobs, Easy Street® offers over 300 routes daily transporting 3,000 riders. Easy Street® benefits riders and non-riders.

  Rideshare serves the Hartford and New London areas. A non-profit organization, the Rideshare network contains detailed routes and schedules for all buses, vans and trains as well as information from individuals looking to carpool.
  
  
  
• Rideworks
  Rideworks serves the New Haven and Waterbury areas. Rideworks is a regional, non-profit company helping people to commute any way except by driving alone. This offer free help finding the options that best fit your needs, whether it's a carpool, van pool, bus, train, or telecommuting.
  
  
  
• CT Rail Service
  

  -	Shore Line East: Commuter rail service between New Haven and New London, with timetables, fares, bus connections, and individual station info.
  -	Metro-North: The New Haven Line, operated by Metro-North Railroad, consists of the New Haven Main Line and the New Canaan, Danbury, and Waterbury Branch Lines. Service is provided 7 days a week. For additional information, please call (800) METRO-INFO.
