Testifying at the State Capitol
It's either testifying or sit alone and cry;
It's either testifying or our beauty and truth deny.
It's either sing our song or not get along;
It's either testify or sit alone and cry.
I reversed myself, I reversed my life.
Just at the moment I accepted giving and writing testimonies, my personal suffering and terror did not destroy my desire for making radical world-wide changes for people with psychiatric disabilities. I suddenly had a reason to live and made so many friends at AU and Keep the Promise, and with people at Shepherd Park.
This experience of giving testimony with others goes with me wherever I go. The memory of giving testimony becomes a testimony itself, of our hope that will now shine forever.
